Built From Lived Experience
Hi, I’m Jaya — the founder of Ability Coaching Academy.
My journey into this work didn’t begin in a classroom or an office — it began at home.
Like many parents, I’ve learned, advocated, celebrated, and sometimes struggled alongside my own child. I’ve navigated the maze of IEPs, speech therapy, occupational therapy, ABA, and countless skill-building activities — all while hoping my child felt understood, capable, and confident.
Those experiences shaped not only my parenting, but the work I do today, leading me to create this practice — a place where I support parents through individualized coaching, advocacy, and practical guidance to help families navigate school systems, therapies, and everyday life with greater confidence, clarity, and care.
How I Support Ability and Growth
My approach is simple: meet each child and family where they are, and build skills in ways that feel meaningful, empowering, and achievable.
Alongside my role as a mom, I bring over 20 years of professional experience in Human Resources, specializing in learning, development, mentoring, and coaching. This background allows me to design thoughtful, structured support — but it’s my lived experience as a parent that guides every interaction.
A Letter to Parents and Caregivers
If you’re here, chances are you’re doing everything you can for your child — often while feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or stretched thin.
My mission is to help families like mine feel seen, supported, and equipped with practical tools that make everyday life a little brighter. When you work with Ability Coaching Academy, you’re working directly with me — not a rotating team, not a one-size-fits-all program.
I’m here to support you, your child, and your family with clarity, respect, and care. Because every child and every family deserves to feel capable, confident, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
What to Know Before Getting Started
Ability Coaching Academy is a private, fee-based service. All coaching, advocacy, and support sessions are booked and paid for in advance.
I work directly with parents through individualized coaching and guidance designed to support learning, advocacy, and everyday life. My role is to help families better understand their child’s strengths, navigate systems, and translate recommendations into practical strategies that make sense at home.
Please note that Ability Coaching Academy does not provide medical, therapeutic, psychological, or legal services, and participation does not replace care from licensed professionals. Coaching is collaborative, parent-centered, and focused on building confidence, clarity, and sustainable support over time.
